India's veteran freedom-fighter Vajpayee passes away

Veteran freedom fighter and former Prime Minister of India  Atal Behari Vajpayee passed away at the age of 93. He was admitted to the IIMS hospital, New Delhi after suffering from illness. 
Vajpayee was one of the founding members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which currently governs India. Considered a giant of Indian politics, Vajpayee served as prime minister three times between 1996 and 2004 and was instrumental in making India a global nuclear power. Then Prime Minister of India Vajpayee had paid a visit to Nepal in 2001 to attend the Summit of  South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
